Antony has extensive experience of a range of radiological impact situations such as development of nuclear emergency scenarios which consider the short and long term impacts for health, countermeasures and recovery. In addition, he has experience of responding to emergencies developed as a team member and leader. He has responded during emergency exercises and real incidents such as polonium-210 in London during 2006 and the UK response to the Japanese nuclear emergency following the earthquake and tsunami in 2011. He is PHE Assessor to the UK Committee on the Medical Aspects of Radiation in the Environment (COMARE), a UK representative for Euratom Article 37 and recent member of the UK delegation to UNSCEAR sessions.
