Overview

The annual Nordic Ozone Group Meeting will be held at Public Health England, Centre for Radiation, Chemical and Environmental Hazards, Harwell Science and Innovation Campus, OX11 0RQ, located 14 miles south of Oxford. We also welcome colleagues from outside Nordic Countries. The meeting provides opportunities to discuss the following areas:

  • Ground based ozone measurements
  • Modelled ozone events and scenarios
  • Space-based ozone and UV products
  • Ground-based UV measurements
  • UV radiation and its effects on biosphere and on materials
  • Solar radiation and human health

Any of the sessions can include analyses of interesting atmospheric episodes, trend analyses or predictions, campaign results, technical solutions or problems and strategy suggestions or decisions. Additionally, studies on solar radiation and human health, vitamin D, UV-A and cardiovascular health, circadian entrainment and daylight photodynamic therapy are welcomed.

Presentations can be either talks or posters. Please tick when going through the payment procedure for the meeting and add the Preliminary subject of your presentation in the “Further information and any uses that the delegate is involved with so we can address your training needs” box during payment.

We would also like to invite you to join us for a Guided Tour of Oxford on the evening of 26 March (17:00-18:00) before the meeting dinner at the Cherwell Boat House at 19:00 (dietary requirements can be catered for). We would also like to invite you to visit our optical laboratories on 27 March.

Payment information:

Meeting fee: £50

  • To book place click on the link at the top of the page to add to your basket and follow the instructions to pay the above fee. This must be completed by 31st January 2019. There is no on-site registration.

Extras (please tick when going through payment procedure for the meeting):

Oxford tour (optional): £10 cash

  • Please bring £10 cash if you would like to attend the tour. This is a maximum cost which may be reduced depending on the number of guests taking part.

Dinner (optional): around £40 depending on menu choice - details to follow.

  • Each guest must pay the restaurant for their dinner and drinks on the day and can get a receipt from the restaurant.
