Course overview

The course will take you on an expedition of epidemiology and introduce you to the world of outbreak investigations, disease surveillance and public health interventions. No previous epidemiology experience is needed. Individuals attending the course will acquire knowledge of basic infectious disease epidemiology, surveillance and an understanding of public health prevention and control measures.

This is an ideal course for anyone who needs an appreciation of epidemiology as well as those venturing into a world of epidemiology for the first time and those requiring a "refresher". No previous experience is needed.



The one day interactive course will provide the delegate with basics of infectious disease epidemiology and surveillance: what it's for; how it works; how the information is used; public health prevention and control measures and communications.
